Teacher Education, Redefined

Together, we’ll explore the following question:

What does it mean to ground teacher education in practice?

We will share specific approaches to helping teacher candidates learn the building blocks of equitable teaching practices, and you’ll take away multiple examples of lessons and instructional activities that you can use in your own teaching. Each day, participants will view and discuss examples of practice-based teacher education, and engage in an ongoing conversation about how to prepare teacher candidates to use teaching practices that help all students learn at high levels.

“Everyone leading teachers should attend this training! Thank you for leading this important work. Monique made this experience amazing for me as a learner. Thank you to the whole team for your preparation and support! You established a safe and inviting environment.”

-Johanna Sanchez, Officer of Elementary Education, Harris County Department of Education
